What a radon mitigation system actually does
The standard fix for a Reading home is active sub-slab depressurization. A suction point is cut through the basement slab, a sealed PVC pipe is run from beneath the foundation up and out of the house, and an inline fan runs continuously to pull soil gas out from under the slab and vent it above the roofline — before it can enter the living space.
